‘Complete lockdown may return in Odisha if Covid appropriate behaviour not followed’

Bhubaneswar: Cautioning the people of Odisha against the possible third wave of Covid disease, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made a fresh appeal to them to follow the Covid appropriate behaviour. In a video message, Patnaik said threat of the Covid-19 virus is still looming large as the third wave has taken serious proportion in some countries.

Informing that the number of Covid cases in the State Capital has been stable in recent days, the Chief Minister added the people of the State should not lessen their guard against the disease.

He added it has been observed some markets in the State have been teemed with crowd after the unlock. If the government feels people are not following the Covid protocol, a complete lockdown will be imposed again.

“Though many will be affected, the government will be forced to do so,” the Chief Minister added.

By wearing mask, sanitising our hands and maintaining social distance norms, we can prevent the fear of getting infected as well as infect our near and dear ones.

He appealed everyone to cooperate with the government in keeping the State safe.
