Cong to launch ‘Jana Sampark Abhiyan’ in Odisha from tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: State unit of Congress is all set to launch ‘Jana Sampark Abhiyan’ to get connected with people across Odisha from tomorrow, informed Odisha PCC In-charge Jitendra Singh here today.

As per move at organisation meeting held on Wednesday in Bhubaneswar, the leaders and workers of Congress will visit different districts and blocks to strengthen the party from grassroot level.

During the campaign, the party is aiming to cover 314 blocks in Odisha ahead of 2019 elections.

Recently, Odisha PCC has finalised the names of 44 candidates for the forthcoming elections.

The move came just a day after ruling BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik flagged off ‘Jana Sampark Padayatra’ from Jharana Basti on outskirts of Bhubaneswar to sensitize public about various welfare programmes of the State government across Odisha for a month.

During the padayatra, the BJD party workers will also highlight failures of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led BJP government at Centre.
