Cop hurt in freak mishap

Kabisuryanagar (Ganjam), July 13:

A police officer of Kabisuryanagar police station in Odisha’s Ganjam district was seriously injured in a freak mishap this afternoon when his service revolver went off while he was cleaning it.

According to reports, Sashibhusan Tripathy, Assistant Sub Inspector of Kabisuryanagar police station was cleaning up his loaded service revolver in the afternoon hours when he accidentally pulled the trigger. The bullet hit him in the leg.

Tripathy was immediately rushed to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Brahmapur where his condition was stated to be out of danger.
