Corona war is not over yet, let’s face the situation more professionally: Odisha CM

Bhubaneswar: Corona war is not over yet. We should be very alert and face the situation even more professionally at the same time with human face, said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said at a review meeting on COVID-19 held today.

While video conferencing with all DIGs and SPs in the state, the CM said people at large saw a ‘human face’ in police actions and the good work should continue.

“Police should try and rationalise available manpower. I would like DG to prepare an action plan to make more and more manpower available at police station level. This may be done within a fortnight with proper planning.” he added.

The CM also appreciated efforts of entire police force for creating awareness among people and enforcing lockdown during the last three  months.

“My appeal for ‘Zero walking inside Odisha’for interstate migrants was implemented in letter and spirit because of systematic and coordinated hardwork,” Patnaik  added.

Appreciating the works done by ODRAF and Fire Services officials in relief and restoration operations in West Bengal post cyclone Amphan, the CM said in spite of coronavirus threat, ODRAF and Fire personnel faced the situation boldly and helped people in distress in Kolkata.

“The service will be an inspiration for others and the entire country has appreciated the work done,” the CM stated.
