Coronavirus: 31 police personnel sent to quarantine in Odisha’s Puri

Puri: The Inspector In-Charge (IIC) and 30 other staff of the Kumbharpada police station of Puri district were put under institutional quarantine today.

As per reports, a man accused of killing Dolamara Sarpanch, Kulamani Swain was arrested and brought to the Kumbharpada police station few days back. After the accused tested positive for the COVID-19, the 31 police personnel of the police station were sent to the quarantine.

Sources said swabs of the cops will be sent for tests tomorrow.

So far, a total of 25 persons in Puri district tested positive for the deadly virus.

Worth mentioning, Sushant Behera , the Dolamara Sarpanch under Khandapada block was hacked to death couple of days back over past enmity.
