Counselling for 20 vacant seats in AIIMS-Bhubaneswar on Aug 25

More than 100 MBBS seats in six All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) including 20 Bhubaneswar have fallen vacant after the first phase counselling.

The seats which have fallen vacant are reserved for the students of SC and ST community students.

Sources in the AIIMS-New Delhi said the first phase counselling for admission in seven AIIMS in the country was held at its campus from July 7 to 9.

While all sets in AIIMS-New Delhi has been filled in the first phase counselling, about 110 seats reserved for SC and ST students have fallen vacant in Bhubneswar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh.

In Bhubaneswar, apart from the vacant eight SC and ST seats, 12 students have been deprived of admission after their health check-up.

The AIIMS authorities have decided to conduct the second and third phase counselling to fill up the vacant posts.

The second phase counselling would be held on August 25 while the names of the selected students would be announced on August 12.

The third phase counselling would be held on September 10 while the names of the selected students would be announced on September 2.

These two-phase counselling would be held at the JL Auditorium in AIIMS-New Delhi campus at 8.30 AM.

The selected students have been asked to bring with them all relevant documents at the time of counselling.
