COVID-19: Registered returnees in Odisha to get food, hygiene kit at camps

Bhubaneswar: Registered returnees from other states will get food and hygiene kit at Temporary Medical Camps (TMCs) in Odisha, for which the state government will spend Rs 1980 per person.

As per official sources, food expenditure of Rs 120 per adult per day will be provided at TMCs for 14 days while the amount will be Rs 100 for children below 14 years of age.

This apart, Rs 300 will be spent for personal hygiene kit ( (toothbrush, toothpaste, tongue cleaner, soaps, oil, razor, masks, sanitary pad, mug, bottle, bucket, etc ) of each person, sources said.

Two bed sheets and two pillow covers will be procured for each bed at the TMCs. All expenditures in this regard have been approved by the government, sources added.

Timings of serving of foods:

  • Breakfast: 8.00 am to 9.00am.
  • Lunch: 12.30 pm to 2.00 pm.
  • Evening tea and snacks: 5.00 pm.
  • Dinner: 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm.

Worth mentioning, those who will return from other states to Odisha after lockdown will have to undergo a mandatory quarantine of 14 days at the TMCs created across the state.
