COVID claims two more lives in Odisha; toll at 1944

Bhubaneswar: Two more persons succumbed to COVID-19 in Odisha as the toll mounted to 1944, official sources said today.

The deceased have been identified as a 75-year-old woman of Bargarh district and a 32-year-old woman of Sundargarh district, who was also suffering from obstructive airway disease with hypothyroidism.

The state today also reported 3664 new COVID-19 cases. Out of the 3664 cases, 2127 were detected in quarantine while 1537 are local contact cases.

Khordha registered the highest number of cases as 704 more persons in the district tested positive for the virus.

With this, the COVID-19 tally in Odisha surged to 368258 with 21436 active cases.
