Covid second wave: Odisha Capital reports over 300 positive cases

Bhubaneswar: For the first time, the Bhubaneswar city reported over 300 Covid positive cases in last 24 hours today at a time when second wave of the viral infection hit many parts of the country.

According to the data provided by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), a total of 307 Covid positive cases were detected in the city in last 24 hours. Of them the number of quarantine cases was 69 and local contact cases 238.

As many as 62 positive cases recuperated in the city during the last 24 hours, the BMC data added.

Bhubaneswar city has so far reported 34,200 positive cases. While 32,448 patients recovered till date, a total of 250 have died due to the viral infection. The number of active cases stands at 1,481.
