Covid surge: Jagannath Temple to remain out of bounds for devotees!

New Delhi: In the wake of Covid upsurge, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) today announced to close all the centrally-protected monuments, sites and museum under it for visitors with immediate effect.

In an order, the Archaeological Survey of India said due to prevailing Covid situation, the centrally-protected monuments, sites and museums will remain closed with immediate effect. The order will remain in force till May 15, 2021 or until further orders.

A total of 46 centrally-protected monuments and sites including Shree Jagannath Temple, Konark Sun Temple and Lingaraj Temple exist in Odisha. The ASI takes care of conservation of these centrally-protected monuments and sites.
