Bhubaneswar: As the third phase of Covid vaccination programme will kickstart across India from May 1, 2021, people of the country within the age bracket of 18-45 years are required to register themselves on the Co-WIN portal to avail the Covid vaccine.
Co-WIN is a platform for the citizens of the country to register for COVID-19 vaccination and schedule their vaccination slot at the nearest vaccination centres.
As the Government of India announced people in age of 18-45 years will get Covid vaccine at private Covid vaccination centres only, they are required to register themselves on Co-WIN portal or Arogya Setu app from April 28, 2021 onwards.
The vaccine types and their prices will be displayed in the appointments module on CoWIN portal so that the citizens will be able to make an informed choice at the time of booking a vaccination appointment.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to register on Co-WIN portal:
Step 1 – Go to the COWIN portal – cowin.gov.in
Step 2 – Register yourself from April 28, 2021 onwards
Step 3 – Schedule vaccination appointment
Step 4 – As vaccination facility for 18-45 years old available only in private vaccination centres, select the vaccine type, price and Covid vaccination centre
Step 5 – Check the confirmation of appointment on registered mobile number
Step 6 – Carry the appointment slip and photo ID card used for registration to the Covid vaccination centre
The Serum Institute of India (SII), the manufacture of Covishield vaccine in the country, said it will charge private hospitals Rs 600 per dose.
Meanwhile, Bharat Biotech announced that its Covid vaccine – Covaxin will be available at Rs 1,200 per dose at private hospitals.
