New Delhi: In a significant decision in connection with the COVID-19 vaccination in the country, the Centre today announced that people above 45 years of age will be vaccinated from April 1.
"The vaccine will open for everybody above 45 years of age. We request that all eligible should immediately register and get vaccinated," said Union Minister Prakash Javadekar.
The first phase of COVID-19 vaccination had started on January 16.
