COVID van overturns in Odisha, one critical

Paralakhemundi: A COVID van overturned at Naringi ghat under Mohana police limits in Odisha’s Gajapati district late last night injuring its driver critically. The victim has been identified as Vikas Sabar of Jirang village.

According to reports, the van was heading towards Mohana after dropping two COVID-19 patients at Paralakhemundi COVID Hospital. The driver lost control over the wheels at the ghat, following which the vehicle turned turtle.

He was rescued by healthcare workers who were travelling in another vehicle behind the van. The driver was rushed to Mohana hospital and later shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur as his condition deteriorated.
