COVID -ve report mandatory for train passengers travelling to West Bengal

Bhubaneswar: The Government of West Bengal has made COVID-19 negative report (RT-PCR test) mandatory for train passengers travelling to the state in view of the second wave of the pandemic.

The test should have been conducted within 72 hours of departure of train from originating stations. Passengers from East Coast Railway jurisdiction going to any place of West Bengal have been requested to have RT-PCR negative report within 72 hours of boarding the train.

Passengers of trains originating from Puri, Bhubaneswar and Sambalpur– 02088 Puri-Howrah Special, 02202 Puri-Howrah Duronto Special, 02838 Puri-Howrah Special, 02074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah Special and 08306 Sambalpur-Howrah Special should have to bring RT-PCR negative report with them for hassle free journey.

This apart, passengers of through trains passing through ECoR jurisdiction and providing stoppages in West Bengal area should also possess RT-PCR negative report both during boarding the trains and after getting down at their destinations.
