COWIN portal modified for persons aged 45 to 59 years to get Covid jab: Odisha govt

Bhubaneswar: From April 1, 2021, persons aged 45 to 59 years will not be required to produce a co-morbidity certificate to receive Covid vaccine.

In a letter to Collectors and District Magistrates, Municipal Commissioners, CDMOs and PHOs, Health and Family Welfare Department’s Additional Chief Secretary PK Mohapatra stated the COWIN portal has been modified by MoHFW for doing away with the need for confirmation of co-morbidities at the time of online registration. There will not be any requirement for co-morbidity certificate during on-site registration at the time of vaccination.

The registration at COWIN portal for the expanded priority group would begin from April 1, 2021.

The letter further mentioned the cut-off date for persons aged 45 years and above are those born before January 1, 1977.
