Crackdown continues: 75 more touts arrested from hosps, RTOs in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Intensifying its efforts to ensure transparency at government hospitals and Regional Transport Offices (RTOs), Odisha Police today arrested as many as 75 middlemen from various parts of the state.

As per official sources, 44 brokers were arrested from RTOs and 33 touts were apprehended from government hospitals in 17 different areas of Odisha.

The law enforcement agency initiated crackdown on such persons after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed Chief District Medical Officers and Regional Transport Officers of the state to make hospitals and RTOs broker-free, and bring transparency.
