Cricketer VVS Laxman all praise for Odisha Doctor; here’s why

Bhubaneswar: Cricketer VVS Laxman heaped praises on Dr Shankar Ramchandani from Odisha for running a ‘One Rupee Medical Clinic’. Laxman said he salutes to the wonderful service provided by Dr Ramchandani.

Taking to Twitter, Dr Ramchandani shared a picture of the doctor providing treatment to a patient at his clinic and wrote, “Meet Dr Shankar Ramchandani , a young doctor with a compassionate heart, who has been running a One Rupee Medical Clinic for poor patients in Odisha. Hats off to his wonderful service.”

Dr Ramchandani is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at VIMSAR, Burla. He has been running the ‘One Rupee Medical Clinic’ at Kachha Market area in Burla town of Sambalpur district. Patients are visiting the clinic will have to pay only Re 1 to avail treatment. The medical services are available at Dr Ramchandani ‘s clinic from 7 AM to 8 AM and 6 PM to 7 PM every day.

This month, producers of reality show ‘Indian Idol’ invited Dr Ramchandani and wife Sikha Ramchandani as Special Guests for an episode.
