Crocodile drags minor boy into river in Odisha’s Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A crocodile allegedly dragged a minor boy into Sileru river near Jala Sahi under Chitrakonda police limits in Odisha’s Malkangiri district yesterday.

The mutilated body of the boy was found floating in the water body this morning. The deceased has been identified as Kapilas Majhi (11).

Legs and hands of the body were missing, reports said. The mishap took place when the boy was bathing in the river with his friends yesterday evening.

Police recovered the body and handed it over to his family members after a post-mortem. A pall of gloom descended on the village after the tragic incident.
