Bhubaneswar, Sep 4;

The Federal Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (FEACC), Ethiopia, has signed a 3.6 million Br agreement with CSM Technologies, a Bhubaneswar based IT solution provider to develop software that will automate the wealth registration of public officials. The funds have come from the Justice System Improvement Programme within the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in the country.

The Odisha based company was selected through an International bidding process.

The contract was signed by the Commissioner, FEACC, Ali Sulaiman, and the CEO, CSM Technologies Priyadarshi Nanu Pany at Addis Ababa, the capital city of Ethiopia, recently.

The project, Asset Disclosure Management Information System (ADMIS), is funded by the World Bank. In 2010, the Ethiopian government decided to register the wealth of elected officials as well as civil servants, including the Prime Minister, Ministers, heads of States, Ambassadors to officials within the justice system.

The Commission has been conducting registration manually so far, and has recorded the assets of over 60,000 officials at the federal level, according to a press release issued by it. The inventory has not yet been disclosed to the public, although the proclamation commands that it be available for public viewing.

“Because of the strong foothold in the e-Governance sector and the path breaking work done in India and particularly Odisha, we were able to get this opportunity through the international bidding process,” said Pany.

CSM is one of the fastest growing IT companies from Bhubaneswar with a head count of 350 through its various offices and has been endorsed as the Top 100 Emerging SMEs of the country by the Ministry of Small and Medium scale Enterprises.

Indian IT companies have been venturing aggressively into Africa as the next land of Opportunity in IT/ICT sector. Other than corporates seeking IT solutions from Indian companies, the Governments have also opened doors for India’s proven dominance in IT sector across the globe.
