Cuttack: Religious institutions to reopen for devotees tomorrow

Cuttack: Religious institutions in Odisha’s Cuttack district, which were closed for public worship due to the COVID-19 situation, will reopen from tomorrow, said Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani.

COVID-19 protocols shall be maintained at the religious places, the official said.

However, the decision regarding reopening of religious places in Cuttack city will be taken by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).

In the COVID-19 guidelines for the month of August, the Special Relief Commissioner had authorised District Collectors/ Municipal Commissioners to take decision over allowing public worship at religious places with COVID-19 restrictions.
