A cyber team of Odisha Crime Branch (CB) today reached Bhadrak to probe into the spreading of rumours in social media in the backdrop of violence in the town over objectionable remarks on Hindu deities on Facebook.

The 7-member team is being led by Inspector Akshay Nayak, reports said.
The team shall probe into all aspects related to circulation of rumours and objectionable materials in social media, Sharma said.

Worth mentioning, WhatsApp, Facebook and Twitter have been blocked in the town and adjacent areas for 48 hours from 7 pm yesterday.
