Cyclone Sitrang: Six Odisha districts likely to receive rainfall today

Bhubaneswar: As many as six districts of Odisha may experience rainfall today under the influence of Cyclone Sitrang over the Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted.

“Heavy rainfall (7 to 11 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack,” the IMD predicted.

The system is likely to intensify into a severe cyclonic storm and cross Bangladesh coast between Tinkona Island and Sandwip close to Barisal around 25th October early morning.
