Cyclonic circulation triggers rainfall in Odisha; These dists likely to be affected

Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha have started experiencing rainfall under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic circulation over eastcentral and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a low pressure area over westcentral and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts around September 20, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted.

The Regional Meteorological Centre here has issued Yellow Warning for many districts of Odisha for today.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Kendrapara, Cuttack, Khurda, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal and Kalahandi, the Meteorological Centre predicted.

Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Puri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Nayagarh and Boudh, it added.
