Czech Republic awards founder of Odisha’s KIIT, KISS Achyuta Samanta

Czech Republic has conferred the prestigious civilian award ‘Silver Medal’ on Dr Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT and KISS in recognition of his remarkable social service.

J Mládek, Industry and Trade minister of Czech Republic, conferred the award on Samanta in presence of Vladimír Bärtl, deputy minister of Czech and M Stašek, Ambassador of Czech Republic to India at a function held at Czech Embassy in New Delhi on Wednesday.
“I am indebted to the Government of Czech Republic and its citizens for the honour”, said Samanta while dedicating the award to KISS.
More than 300 dignitaries from Czech Republic and India were present.
Eminent danseuse Sujata Mohapatra performed Odissi on the occasion.
