D-brothers produced before SDJM court in Odisha’s Cuttack

Cuttack, Apr 8: 

Odisha’s Commissionerate Police today produced gangster Dhalasamanta brothers and seven of their aides including Bhola Bhagat, Bhajana, Nirmal and Guddu before the Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM) court in Cuttack. They were later sent back to jail as the cops didn’t seek fresh remand.

While Sushil was brought here from Balasore jail, Sushant was brought from Jharapada jai amidst tight security. Security measures had been beefed up at the court premises too to avoid any untoward incident.

The bothers would be produced before the court again via videoconferencing on April 12.

Today they were produced in connection with nine cases including the murder of businessman Farooq, charges of extortion, forging documents and fake currency transactions among others.

The cops have, so far, registered 19 cases against the duo and they have been produced before the court against 11 of the charges.

It may be noted here that yesterday the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Court of Cuttack yesterday cancelled the registration of Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha (CNYS) floated by the brothers.

Besides, the district administration cancelled the license of four sand mines operated by Saroj Dhalasamant, and their three associates.

Saroj is the father of Sushant and Sushil.
