D Brothers link: Odisha Police summons FAO Secy Sanjay Behera

Intensifying its crusade against gangster Dhalasamanta brothers and their alleged involvement with people of influence in various circles, Odisha’s Twin City Commissionerate Police today served notice on Football Association of Odisha (FAO) Secretary Sanjay Behera and two corporators of Cuttack Municipality Corporation (CMC) among others.

As per information provided by Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora, OCA czar Ashirbad Behera’s son Sanjay and Sushil Dhalsamant were business partners in 2010. Besides, the Dhalsamanta brothers were allegedly involved in the activities of FAO.

Sanjay has been asked to present himself before the police within seven days for questioning.

“I am out of town now and have not received the notice. I just got to hear about it from media. I will approach the police and cooperate them with the investigation after I get back,” said Sanjay reacting to the development.

He, however, refused to speak about his involvement with the criminal brothers.

Cuttack Police also served notice on CMC corporators Chiranjay Sahoo and Ranjita Biswal and Cuttack Nagar Youth Association office bearers Sambit Behera and Debasis Bose. They have been asked to appear before the Chauliaganj police station within seven days for questioning.

Notably, earlier on February 13, the cops questioned Ranjita Biswal for her alleged links with D-brothers as we reported here.
