Dacoits loot cash from post office in Odisha’s Kendrapara

Unidentified miscreants looted cash from head post office at Aul in Odisha’s Kendrapara district, last night.

According to sources, the robbers broke open the locker of the post office and decamped with Rs 1.68 lakh.

The dacoits also tried to commit robbery from Kendrapara Credit Co-operative Bank and Cuttack Co-operative Bank’s Aul Branch but failed to do as they were unable to break the lockers of the banks, sources added.

CCTV footage has confirmed that a looter gang was behind the act. On being informed about the incident, Aul police reached the spot and started investigation.
