Rs 13 lakh looted from cattle traders at gunpoint

Keonjhar, Mar 15:

A group of cattle traders were looted of Rs 12.92 lakh by a gang of dacoits at gun point at Katilapasi near Jhumpura this afternoon, police sources said.

According to police, 12 traders from Champua were on their way to Bonai on their motorbikes with the cash to buy cattle when they were intercepted by a gang of dacoits who were following them in a jeep.

The dacoits attacked Sarat Pradhan with the butt of a rifle when he tried to resist them.

The injured trader, who fell unconscious, was later rushed to the hospital.

Following information, police have launched a manhunt to nab the dacoits.
