Daily COVID-19 cases in Odisha dip below 1000 with 886 new infections; 66 more die

Bhubaneswar: Daily COVID-19 cases in Odisha dipped below 1000-mark as 886 more persons tested positive for the virus during the last 24 hours. While 66063 samples were tested in the state yesterday, the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) stood at 1.34%.

Khurda district reported highest 253 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (81) and Balasore (62).

With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state reached 987956 with 11486 active cases.

The Health Department also reported 66 more deaths due to COVID-19 as the toll rose to 6501. Khurda district reported highest 29 fatalities.
