Dengue cases cross 1000 mark in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, Oct 3:

Number of dengue afflicted in Odisha this season has crossed the 1000 mark with identification of fresh 30 positive cases in the state on Friday.

With fresh cases of dengue, the number of afflicted has jumped to 1002, according to directorate of Public Health sources.

Still Baleswar district tops the list in identification of dengue afflicted with 161 testing positive for the virus.

Second to it is Bhadrak district with 150 positive cases while Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack districts have identified 130 and 110 respectively.

Officially death toll in the disease has been put at one this season.
