Depression: Rain likely to drench these Odisha dists today

Bhubaneswar: Multiple districts of Odisha are likely to experience rainfall today due to the depression over Bay of Bengal, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati and Ganjam today, the IMD said and issued Orange Warning for these districts.

Heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nabarangpur, Kandhamal, Puri, Nayagarh, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Bhadrak and Cuttack today, the agency predicted and issued Yellow Warning for these districts.

The depression over west central Bay of Bengal is very likely to intensify further into a deep depression during next 12 hours. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh coast between Narsapur and Vishakhapatnam, close to Kakinada during the early morning of 13th October, a bulletin of the IMD issued at 8.15 AM today said.
