Details of fresh COVID-19 cases reported from Bhubaneswar & Cuttack city

Bhubaneswar: Out of the seven COVID-19 positive cases reported from Khordha district, five cases belong to Bhubaneswar BMC area.

Of the five patients, three were under home quarantine while remaining two are local contacts, informed the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).

Details of the home quarantine cases :

  • 1 case of Satya Nagar, near overbridge. 36-year-old male with travel history of Delhi
  • 1 case of Nirankari Nagar, near Jaydev Vihar. A 22-year-old male IT professional with travel history of Delhi
  • 1 case of Patia, Sree Vihar. 25-year-old female  linked with earlier positive cases.

Details of local contacts: 

  • 1 case of Dumduma, HB Colony. 37-year-old male linked with earlier postie cases.
  • 24-year-old male, a medical officer of Central Government Hospital, Bhubaneswar.

With this, the  number of total positive cases in the state capital rose to 132, including 54 active and 74 recovered cases. And, three patients have succumbed to the virus.

In Cuttack, the fresh one case has been reported from CMC area. The patient is a 55-year-old male from Mahanadi Vihar with recent travel history of Delhi and was under home quarantine.         

Currently, the Cuttack city has total 25 positive cases including 7 active and 18 recovered cases.
