Dhenkanal smith death mystery solved: Deceased’s wife arrested
Dhenkanal: The mystery surrounding the death of a goldsmith in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district has been solved as police today arrested the wife of the deceased for her alleged involvement in killing him.
Informing about the arrest at a presser, Additional SP Harekrushna Pradhan said Aruna Patra, the arrested woman, had hatched a plan along with her male friend to kill her husband Mantu Patra.

On the fateful day, the woman poisoned Mantu’s food after which she and her male friend killed him by slitting his throat, the official said.
The concerned friend of the woman is currently absconding and efforts are on to nab him, he said.
Notably, Mantu Patra was found dead in his house at Minabazaar under Town Police limits in the district on September 3.
