DID audition held to search dance talents in Odisha capital

Bhubaneswar: In search of dance talents from across the country, audition of popular dance reality show Dance India Dance (DID) season 6 to be aired on Zee Television was held here on Sunday.

Total 362 candidates from different districts of Odisha participated in the audition at KIIT University’s Campus-14 for selection in the mega dance competition. Around 143 participants outside the state had also tried their luck in the audition.

Selecting the potential candidates in two rounds, the judges elevated them to the semifinals.

The candidates were selected for semis out of 10 candidates in a group.

As several artists from Odisha have performed well in the past seasons of DID, there is immense opportunity for the budding dancers in the state to enter semifinal rounds in Bhubaneswar audition, said the judges.

Choreographers Geeta and Bidyadhar from Odisha and Ananya, Salman and Saroj from Mumbai were the judges to select the candidates in various rounds of the audition.
