Doctor on COVID-19 duty sleeps inside car to protect his family wins internet

Bhopal: Stories of warriors fighting the war against Coronavirus are being heard around the country. One such warrior is Dr Sachin Nayak, working at JP hospital here has been living in his car to keep his family safe from Covid-19.

Dr Nayak, who is working among the coronavirus-infected people in the hospital, is not going to his house after finishing his work at the hospital rather made his car his home for past one week. In order to protect his wife and child from the possibility of contracting the infection he has made his car his temporary abode.

After he finishes off his duty, Dr Nayak retires to his car surrounded by some basic supplies and books.

A photo of Dr Nayak, reading a book in the back of his car which was widely shared after the All India Radio tweeted it.

On social media , people heaped praise on the Bhopal doctor.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also praised Dr Nayak after a photo of him went viral.

CM Chouhan expressed his gratitude and tweeted, “I and the entire Madhya Pradesh greet warriors like you who are fighting against the deadly virus Covid-19 and if we all continue with this resolve, then we can win this war more quickly, and Sachin ji salute to your high spirit.”

In some states, governments and private organisations have offered rooms in the hospitals for the medical professionals and the nursing staff to ensure their families are safe.

In India, the number of confirmed Covid-19 positive cases has crossed 5000 mark and the death toll is nearing 150.
