Out of the total 11,000 plots allotted by the CDA during the period, 921 plots were allotted under the discretionary quota, CDA sources said. The Vigilance is investigating how many beneficiaries were allotted more than one plot under the discretionary quota, the sources added.

“On the basis of the report provided by the task force, they had come and had sought some files from us. We handed over the files to them and told them that we will cooperate with them in their investigations,” said Sudhanshu Naik, Administrative Officer CDA.

The Administrative Officer said that they were not in possession of the task force report and it was with the government. Government has directed the Vigilance to investigate multiple allotments made, he added.

“From 1995 to 2014 around 11,000 plots have been allotted out of them 921 were allotted under the discretionary quota. On the question of multiple allotments, it will be only known after the inquiry is over,” said Naik.
