Dry weather, foggy conditions likely in Odisha from January 16

Bhubaneswar: Odisha may witness the return of dry weather and foggy conditions from January 16, the Regional Meteorological Centre here forecasted.

Rainy conditions are likely to prevail in the state till January 15. Thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri today, the Meteorological Centre warned.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nabarangpur and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha tomorrow, it forecasted.

The Meteorological Centre has also issued dense fog warning for Angul, Dhenkanal, Sonepur, Boudh, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts on January 17 and Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Angul and Dhenkanal districts on January 18.

Temperature Forecast: No large change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 24 hours and gradual fall by 3-4°C in subsequent 3 days over the districts of Odisha.
