Duplicate tobacco production unit busted in Odisha’s Bhadrak

Bhadrak: A spurious tobacco manufacturing unit operating at Prachinagar under Bhadrak Rural police limits has been busted.

Duplicate zarda worth lakhs of rupees, various equipments & machines and labels of several tobacco brands have been seized from the place.

However, the prime accused managed to flee the spot before the raid.

“Acting on a tip-off about the manufacturing unit operating at Prachinagar, we raided the place last night. Spurious zarda of various brands worth lakhs have been seized. We have identified the main accused from the registration number of his vehicle. Efforts are on to apprehend him,” a police official said.
