ECoR to run Sambalpur-Yeshvantpur special train

To provide comfortable journey to passengers and clear the long wait-list during the peak season, the East Cost Railway (ECoR) has planned to run a special train between Sambalpur and Yesvantpur.Indian Railway

08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur special train will leave Sambalpur at 0850 hours on every Wednesday between 19th February and 26th March and arrive at Yesvantpur at 1630 hours on every Thursday.

In the return direction, 08302 Yesvantpur-Sambalpur Special train will leave Yesvantpur at 0030 hours on every Friday (Midnight of Thursday) between 21st February and 28th March and arrive at Sambalpur at 0615 hours on every Saturday.

This train has stoppages at Bargarh Road, Bolangir, Titilagarh, Kesinga, Muniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Bobbili, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam in ECoR jurisdiction and will also stop at important stations between Sambalpur and Yesvantpur.

Apart from this, a new weekly train between Hatia and Yesvantpur via Sambalpur, Titilagarh, Rayagada and Vizianagaram was introducedon Saturday as decided by the Railway ministry.

As per the schedule, the 18637 Hatia-Yesvantpur weekly Express will leave Hatia at 1815 hours on every Saturday and arrive at Yesvantpur at 0500 hours on every Monday.

In the return direction, the 18638 Yesvantpur-Hatia weekly Express will leave Yesvantpur at 0030 hours on every Tuesday (Midnight of Monday) and arrive at Hatia at 1330 hours on every Wednesday.

The weekly train has stoppages at Rourkela, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh Road, Bolangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Miniguda, Rayagada, Parvatipuram, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam between Hatia and Yesvantpur.

In the inaugural run, the train will leave Hatia on February 15. However, the regular service of this train will commence from Yesvantpur on February 18 and from Hatia on February 22, an ECoR release said.
