ECoR to run three more pairs of summer special trains through Odisha

To facilitate comfortable journey to the passengers, the Railway ministry has decided to run three more pairs of summer special trains through East Coast Railway (ECoR) jurisdiction along the routes through Odisha by creating additional berths to avoid extra rush.

These trains are Howrah-Yesvantpur premium special via Bhubaneswar and Renigunta, Howrah-Chennai-Howrah AC Super Fast Special and Santragachhi-Ernakulam premium special trains.

As per the schedule, 02863 Howrah-Yesvantpur premium special train will leave Howrah at 1240 hours on every Friday and reach at Yesvantpur at 2315 hours on the next day between April 3 and 26.

In the return direction, 02864 Yesvantpur-Howrah premium special train will leave Yesvantpur at 1045 hours on every Sunday and arrive Howrah at 1830 hours on the following days between April 5 to 28. The train will stop at Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam from both the directions.

02841 Howrah-Chennai AC special train will leave Howrah at 1240 hours on every Tuesday and reach Chennai at 1450 hours on Wednesday between April 7 and 21.

In the return direction, 02842 Chennai-Howrah AC special train will leave Chennai at 1710 hours on every Wednesday and arrive Howrah at 1830 hours on Thursdays between April 8 and 22. The train will stop at Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road and Visakhapatnam between Howrah and Chennai from both the directions.

02853 Santragachi-Ernakulam weekly premium special train will leave Santragachhi at 1730 hours on every Saturday and reach Ernakulam at 0600 hours on Mondays between April 4 and 26.

In the return direction, 02854 Ernakulam-Santragachi non-premium weekly special train will leave Ernakulam at 0850 hours on every Tuesday and arrive Santragachhi at 2300 hours on Wednesdays between April 7 and June 30. The train will stop at Bhubaneswar and Visakhapatnam during journey towards Ernakulam and additional stoppage at Bhadrak during journey towards Santragachhi, an ECoR release said today.

Apart from this, ECoR has also decided to augment one AC-3 tier coach permanently in 12145/12146 LTT-Puri-LTT Express via Sambalpur with immediate effect, the released added.
