Educators have been the least celebrated COVID Warriors: DN School Vice Chair Person

Bhubaneswar: “Educators have been the least celebrated COVID Warriors,” Panchami Manoo Ukil, Vice-Chairperson of The DN Wisdom Tree Global School said while narrating how educators gracefully kept delivering their duties of nurturing children’s education during the testing COVID-19 times.

The pandemic disrupted regular classroom learning and soon online learning was put to action. That was a new ball game for educators all over the world but as per the need of the hour, they soon adapted to the new normal. However, apart from digital tutoring, they also had to deal with rewiring curricula, counseling students and their parents. “While doctors, healthcare workers, policymakers, scientists and many others stood at the frontline, it was the educators who held fort at the backend with effortless grace, trying to maintain a semblance of normalcy during the deeply troubled times, Ukil said.

The Vice-Chairperson of The DN Wisdom Tree Global School also highlighted that while the world of education is currently chanting ‘coding’, the matter of utmost importance at this hour is ‘coping’.

As a member of the educators’ fraternity and School leader of the DN Wisdom, Ukil said that their primary responsibility is to instill resilience and coping in children. With coping comes collaboration and by coming together, they could find a solution to problems of unimaginable magnitude like the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“I have always believed that a roomful of educators is way more powerful than a roomful of world leaders.  Educators are lamps of wisdom, illuminating minds and lives through power of education… My respect and reverence to all educators for having been rock-solid COVID warriors.
