Efforts on to restore peace in Ravenshaw University

Efforts are on to restore peace and normalcy in the Ravenshaw University campus following clashes between boarders of East and New hostel on Thursday night over bursting of crackers during the immersion of idols of goddess Saraswati.

Although the situation was defused after the intervention of the University authorities last night, tension continues to prevail in the campus.

Police have been deployed in the campus as a precautionary measure in view of the history of clashes between East and New hostel boarders in the recent past.
