Elephant carcass found in Odisha forest

Baripada, Nov 27:

A day after carcasses of two elephants were found inside Similipal National Park, one more carcass of a female elephant was today found inside Karidachua forest under Kaptipada forest division near Udala in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district.

The jumbo aged between 12-15 years was found dead inside a forest under Kaptipada forest division.

The reason behind the death of the pachyderm would be ascertained after the post mortem was done on it.

It may be recalled that carcasses of an elephant calf and its mother were found inside Alakudara forest limits under Gudugudia range inside Similipal National Park area yesterday.

The forest department officials spotted the carcasses during patrolling.
