Elephant dies in Odisha’s Nandankanan zoo

Bhubaneswar, May 30:

A seven-year-old elephant died today at the Nandankanan Zoological Park on the outskirts of the Odisha capital.

The pachyderm namely Jagan was suffering from digestive problems and died today morning, said deputy director of the zoo.

However, a probe will be conducted to ascertain the reason behind the death of the animal, he said.

Notably, the elephant was brought to Nandankanan from Sundargarh in 2009.
