Elephant stabs man to death with tusk in Odisha

Keonjhar: An elephant stabbed a man to death with its tusk at Kaijoda village under Champua Forest Range in Odisha’s Keonjhar district last evening. The deceased has been identified as Srikant Nayak (40).

According to reports, Nayak had gone to a canal near the village when a tusker attacked him. The pachyderm stabbed him in his belly with its tusk, resulting in his death on the spot.

On being informed, Forest officials reached the village late last night and recovered the body for post-mortem.
