Watch Video: Elephant strays into OUAT farm in Odisha capital
Bhubaneswar: A tusker strayed into the Horticulture farm of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) at Ghatikia on the outskirts of Odisha capital today.
It is suspected that the elephant might have migrated from the nearby Chandaka forest.

On being informed, Forest department officials reached the spot to take stock of the situation. As many as 12 staff have been engaged to ward off the animal, informed Ashok Kumar Biswal, Forest Ranger, Chandaka Wildlife Division.
On the other hand, the presence of the tusker has created panic among the locals. Efforts were on by the forest officials to drive it out towards the forest.
