Engineering student falls into river while taking selfie in Odisha
Keonjhar: An engineering student fell into Baitarani river in Anandapur area of Odisha’s Keonjhar district and went missing today while he was taking selfie standing on a barrage.
The missing student has been identified as Bailochana Samal of Jajpur area. He is a student of Bhubanananda Orissa School of Engineering (BOSE) in Cuttack.

According to reports, Samal and his two friends had come to Ghatagaon here for a visit on a motorcycle. Tragedy struck when his legs slipped while clicking a selfie on the barrage and he fell into the water body.
On being informed, ODRAF and Fire Services personnel reached the spot and initiated rescue operation. Till last reports came in, the youth was yet to be traced.
