EOW of Odisha CB arrests 2 directors of Sagarika chit fund firm

Bhubaneswar, Mar 7:
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch (CB) today arrested two directors of Sagarika Mutual Chit Fund Company from West Bengal for allegedly duping depositors to the tune of Rs 4 crore.

The arrested were identified as Shibu Das, director of the firm, and Satyan Manik, Odisha head of the company.
The staff of the firm had allegedly gone absconding after collecting around Rs 4 crore from investors.
The company, having its main office in Cuttack, had duped many people of Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Dhenkanal and Cuttack districts.
