EOW seeks Odisha govt nod to attach assets of Biswa, Credible

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12:

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the State crime branch today wrote to the Finance department of the Odisha government seeking permission to attach the properties two chit fund companies: Biswa and Credible Micro Finance Limited.

The movable and immovable properties belonging to two ponzi companies, which are sought to be attached by EOW under section 3 of the Odisha Protection of Interests of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 2011  are 10 acres land, Rs 55 lakh in bank deposits, two buildings and a petrol pump at Sambalpur.

The owner of the two companies Khirod Mallick is now lodged in Jharpada jail.
