Evaluation of HSC subjective papers begins in Odisha

The evaluation of answer sheets of subjective papers of this year’s annual High School Certificate (HSC) examinations in Odisha began today in 66 evaluation centres across the state.

The evaluation of the answer sheets of objective papers  have already been completed.

Evaluation of subjective answer sheets began at all evaluation centres at 9.30 AM and will continue till 5 PM.

A total of 15,982 teachers have been deployed for the evaluation process. One chief examiner, two deputy chief examiners, one scrutinizer and examiners have been engaged in each evaluation centre.

Nua Bazar High School, which is one of the evaluation centres, has been divided into 12 units and each unit has one chief examiner, three deputy examiners and around 15 assistant examiners have been engaged in the evaluation process while the Block Education Officer is officiating as the Nodal Officer for the smooth conduct of the evaluation process, said headmaster of the High School and the evaluation centre supervisor.

Facilities like provision of drinking water, temporary canteens and other facilities have been set up for the convenience examiners at the evaluation centres to ensure that they don’t need to go outside the centre premises between 9.30 AM till 5 PM.

All arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of evaluation of answer sheets by the examiners, said BEO and Nodal Officer of the evaluation centre at Nua Bazar High School. He said scrutinizers and examiners have been instructed to minutely examine all answer sheets and enter marks in the marks foil. There is no scope for discrepancies under the present system, he added.
